チングルマ（稚児車）
バラ科チングルマ属
湿原の乾いたところに生える落葉小低木である。花は朝露をまとい、シャンデリアのような美しさを見せていた。花が終わると風車状の羽毛のような穂が出る。名前は、稚児車（ちごぐるま）から転じたもので、白い花弁が５個並ぶかわいい姿によるという説や、実の様子を子供の風車に見立てたものとの説がある。
高さ約10cm。花期は６〜７月。花の直径は1.5〜２cm。
